P.R. Lysine Lip Balm 2 Tube Saver Pack 0.15 OZ (4g) Fast Dispatch - Soothing, Moisturizing

After getting the dreaded cold sore when I was abroad on holiday I was desperate for something to relieve the pain and discomfort. Saw this online and after reading the reviews I decided to place an order. It arrived the next day and it’s been a god send. It relieved the discomfort almost immediately and moisturised my lip making it much less painful. I’m convinced it healed the cold sore much quicker than without it. I’ll be taking this on holiday with me in future

Although not the cheapest lip balm on the market, this is well worth the money. It has a good consistency so that it adheres well without being sticky or greasy, I find it makes a pretty good base for lipstick.As a regular cold sore sufferer, I decided there was nothing to lose by adding this to my arsenal in the war against these nasty, painful sores. Whilst I can't say that this lip balm alone is some kind of magical cure, I can say that it is a very soothing addition to be used along side all the other tools in the weaponry, namely red light therapy, lysine tablets, cold sore patches and even one of those gadgets that blasts cold sores with all the heat of a blastfurnace. All have a place in keeping them at bay, but I like to think that this lysine lip balm also helps keep them at bay whilst soothing dry lips.I will definitely buy this again and, frankly, if you want to try almost anything to keep your cold sores away, you have little to lose, much to gain and softer lips into the bargain.

This stuff is great. As a life long cold sore sufferer I do everything I can to try and prevent breakouts. I now use this every day and it keeps my lips nicely moisturised which helps stop the pre-blister chapping. Possibly the best testament I can give is after spending 5 days in Tromso, in sub zero degree conditions, with snow and biting winds, I applied this regularly and my lips remained beautifully soft and more importantly unblistered.

Doesn't prevent or reduce cold sores - assume very little lysine in them

I usually get cold sores all year round - I would say I get them on average once a month (possibly every 2 months) as I get run down a lot. It’s now October and I just got my first cold sore since buying this stuff in March.Now it’s possible it’s just a coincidence that I haven’t had any cold sores in 6 months, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a stretch that long without a pesky pustule showing up to ruin my day. Also it fits with the timing because the other day I forgot to use the stuff and now I have herp-mouth.So in my experience if you put this lip balm on twice a day (I put it on after I brush my teeth to help me remember*) it should completely ward off cold sores.* lol, that worked out great! 😂But to be fair I have a terrible memory so it’s amazing I lasted months without forgetting.

This is the best lip balm I have tried for keeping coldsores at bay. Absolute game changer, I use it morning and evening, havent been plagued by the dreaded for months. I have also recommended it to 3 friends who suffer and they are saying the same. May not work for everyone but it certainly has for me.
