MOTOPOWER MP00205A 12V 800mA Automatic Battery Charger, Maintainer, Trickle and Desulfator

I bought one of these (MP00205) for my motorcycle. I kept it connected at all times when I wasn't riding (because it trickle charges). My OEM Harley-Davidson battery lasted 6 1/2 years! When I bought a second motorcycle, I bought this - the most recent model (MP00205A) - because of how well it performed for my H-D.The only minor drawback: the cord is a bit short (I *think* they used to give you an extension with the previous version). I had to buy a 4' extension ($6 on Amazon) to mate with this.

So far so good! I have a secondary fun car that the battery kept going dead on since I don't drive it regularly. I put this trickle charger on it and now I don't have to worry. I went on a trip and came back and am glad to see it did its job.

…immediately I began using the charger. I am using the charger on a 700cc amps brand new battery out of the vehicle. So far,it’s been doing an awesome job. Going on 3wks now of maintaining a charge. Small compact design, I love the fact it comes with a lot of connectors. And the weight is very light compared to other battery chargers. Only time will tell with this one.

The first one I received was defective. The second one works as advertised. As others have noted, the power cord is relatively short while the cord to the battery is adequately long. This charger was priced 130% higher at a national auto supply store. One star was deducted for having received a defective product and a less than ideal power cord length. I knew the charger had a relatively short power cord wwhen ordered, but for a value priced product, I felt that was a reasonable concession.

Mine seems to be working well, have used alot. Keep instructions so you know what all the lights mean to understand whats goin on with your battery.

Good for the price. I purchased 3 of these for my lawn mower and scooter. Keeps battery charged. Easy to use.

This battery maintainer is working perfectly. I have a collectors car that is only driven occasionally and this product keeps the battery topped off for peak performance. I have a lot of start ups with short run times moving the car out of the way of the mower. Before purchasing the maintainer, this was destroying a battery about every two years. Now, the battery should last 5 to 6 years or longer.

The battery clamps are not very high quality, but in accordance to the price, a real deal, I add!It works charging my mower, that has a short somewhere?
