Arrived well packaged and undamaged. Some minor assembly required but most of the easel was already assembled. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. Easy to maneuver into either the flat position or vertical. This is solid wood not composite. Easily moveable even on carpet. Very nice easel. I was able to get the box down my steps and into my studio by myself. Highly recommend. Very reasonably priced.

The main thing to keep in mind is that if you are buying this product you are more than likely on a budget and well, there are certain hindrances that come with that.The packaging could definitely be better. The thing came with the box fairly battered and every bag of hardware ripped and floating within the box. However, I couldn't find any damage to the easel itself, and all the pieces I needed were there. Not having directions did make me put my thinking cap on for a second, but it's all pretty straightforward and came mostly assembled.After all of that, this thing works perfectly. I mainly use it for painting but also quite often add detail with ink and needed the ability to change the angle of the surface. This was one of the only products that could do that and met this price-point. Along with the fact I'm 6'3" and needed the height as well, which was yet another spec that only this product has at this price.All around, I'm happy with the purchase and am benefitting from the workflow change already. Having things ready to go at any time takes a lot of excuses out of not making art.If you're on the fence, trust a stranger and buy it.

Well let me start with the one thing I read most in it's review about this easel, "It didn't come with instructions" And after receiving this easel, guess what, it didn't have instruction on how to assemble. The box was badly damaged, so much so that I almost refused it. (the delivery man also noticed just how bad of a condition this box was in and tried to make lite conversation as to hope I wouldn't notice this) However I really needed it. So I took a chance and accepted it. For sure with out a doubt , this is very poorly packaged. Cheap cardboard is used to box this, that is almost as flimsy as paper, the rigidity of the box is truly because of the easel itself! Nothing inside to keep It from sliding around and braking while shipping.Thankfully not one peace of wood was damaged in my box, and that was a surprise to see. Also after unboxing this easel, and taking it out its poorly packaged box, I can sort of understand why it perhaps didn't have instructions. It was about 95% complete, with just needing to add the nobs and canvas mounts to it, along with the center canvas support and its wheels and not to forget the two rear bottom hinges that must be attached to the upper support ones that let this easel tilt backwards. Just using the picture on the box was enough information to complete it, and took about 10 min. Now after assembly and really feeling the wood, I can say that it is a very nicely built easel. It feels sturdy the wood is what you would expect from a wonderful easel. Strong, as it survived the shipping with out breaking, hopefully this is the case for everyone. Well finished and looks great, really, happy I will be painting on this easel. Very tall, witch was the main reason why I bought this one, for its canvas support range. The wheels are great and make it easy to move if need be. After everything I have to say, this was a great perches, and I'm thankful that it didn't come damaged as it's poor packaging can result in that happening. I would for sure say its worth it's price, if it comes not damaged dew to shipping with out any support in its box. Shirley I will create many great painting's on this wonderful easel.

I've had this easel since February 2020. 8 months with fairly minimal as I've been working on smaller projects that didn't need a big easel. Sadly the shelf piece that fits into the groove for the center mast, that allows the shelf for the canvas to move up and down, broke. Cue sad face here. Don't let that scare you away from buying this easel though. I'll explain below, but first, info on the easel itself.This easel is the right amount of heavy weight and sturdy. I have another H-easel by different company and it tends to move around with heavy mark making, unlike this one. I can move it with one arm as a 5'8" woman who isn't particularly strong, but it doesn't move while working, even with fast hard paint strokes of gessoing. The height at which it tips back for the flat work space is perfection, you won't find better, I love the ability to have 2 work spaces top and bottom too, or to use the top to hold my references.On to the bad. As you can see from the photo, the wood has split. The split is the backside if the lower shelf bar, specifically the tongue piece that sticks into the groove of the central vertical bar and holds the shelf in place to set my canvas on. There was no indication of a weakness in the spot that the crack happened prior to it suddenly splitting, but it's wood and stuff happens that no one can predict. I didn't even do anything to it when it broke. I was actually preparing my palette nearby without touching the easel when I heard it give way. Thankfully no canvases were hurt in the making of this disaster. (My attempt at being funny). I was really concerned that I had just lost a ton of money in this easel because it's so common to come across companies who just play games or ignore your cries of help. I'm happy to say that this company is a jewel and I've never had such good service!9/18/20 (Friday) I contacted the company hoping that I could get a replacement for the shelf piece that broke. 9/21/20 (Monday morning) the company got back to me with an apology and politely asking for photos to confirm the broken piece. Perfectly reasonable! I sent them the photos plus my receipt. Again, they responded right away and apologized that they don't have a replacement piece as I requested and instead are replacing my easel! I never expected that. That's above and beyond and I'm really impressed! 9/22/20 I received shipping confirmation and tracking. Holy cow! They handled it in 3 business days. It probably would have been faster except my responses were after hours each time.I am so happy that I can't really express it enough in words alone. I asked in a responding email who I could send a compliment to but that's the only email they haven't responded to. I absolutely will buy from this company again. I've already directed one of my students to buy from them, and she already did after hearing my story and seeing how much I loved this easel.
