Great kayak,
This kayak is awesome, and I ordered it at 7pm, it was on my doorstep at 7am the next morning. Super happy. My wife got a 10’ that can allow her to bring the dog, this one is a bit shorter. I’m 5-10 180 lbs and this one works for me.

Fantastic kayak for the price!
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely fantastic kayak for the price. The quality and features are on par with most $1000+ kayaks. For the price this thing is an absolute steal. Very comfortable seat and the layout works well for fishing. The first time I took it out I caught a 30 inch gar and fought a couple massive tarpon in the Everglades. I paddled by several alligators longer than my kayak and felt safe and stable. I definitely trust this kayak although I wouldn’t try to stand in this one as it’s not quite wide enough to do that comfortably. Overall this Kayak is a fantastic value. If it can handle the Everglades then it can definitely handle anything the northern states can throw at it if you reside there.

Great budget friendly fishing kayak.
This is my first sit on fishing kayak and I love it. This kayak is stable, easy to maneuver (tracks pretty straight) and not too heavy. You will definitely want to bring along a cushion of some sort as the stock seat is not the most comfotable on the back. The rod holders allow you to store 2 rods or 1 rod and a net. the small storage compartment between your legs is NOT water tight, so if you plan on storing electrontincs in there, I recommend placing them in a ziploc bag or drybag.

Very light and portable kayak with a few shortcomings
This kayak has many features that appeal to me, including its fishing layout, light weight, portability, and the company manufacturing out of Quebec. The kayak tracks impressively straight for such a small craft, and it quickly gets up to speed while paddling. It is very maneuverable, and does not carry the inertia of the heavy-weight fishing kayaks out there. But, there are a few oversights and weaknesses of this product that give it less than a five-star rating, in my opinion. The most obvious is that the seat is positioned in a non-draining well, which means that one's bottom will get wet and stay wet for the entire ride. There are several molded areas of the deck that capture and retain water. The seatback is weak and supplies little back support. The adjustable footpegs are ok, but not great. Although stable enough for those familiar with kayaking, it is fairly easy to rock the boat enough to ship water over the gunnels, due to very low freeboard, so this might not fit the bill for beginners or for heavier people. There is no access to areas below deck, so attaching any accessories necessitates the use of screws or rivets through the thin plastic instead of through-bolting with backing plates. The only way to access under the deck is to install a waterproof hatch, sold separately, which, according to the Pelican website, will void the lifetime warranty for areas around the installed hatch. Overall, I think this is a good kayak for protected lakes and bays, and offers good fishability and portability. I suspect many buyers will opt to purchase an upgraded aftermarket seat, which will add to the cost of an otherwise reasonably priced kayak.

Love it
This is my first kayak so I've nothing to compare it to. I love the center compartment, even though it isn't waterproof since there is no gasket to seal it I haven't had any issues with water getting in there. Now if it flips, different story I'm sure. It's a great kayak and very fun to fish in. The seat is awful though, buy a seat cushion and you'll be set.

Great kayak for fishing!
This kayak is a great one person beginner kayak. My first time on a kayak was I this and I felt very secure and didn’t have any problems with balance at all. I do recommend buying the pelican plugs and a sports cushion seat for your butt. Other than those two things it’s fantastic

2 dents and the one is pretty large
Do not order, just go to the store and buy one, shipping handlers don’t care about the package

A great kayak.
I bought this for my husband for Father's day. He has four others, but he loves this one.
