Sprays evenly and cleanly
I use this to hold color on ink jet prints, so far, no color shifts...

Excellent protective spray
I've tried several other coatings for my photos. I'm serious about photography and the finished product is important to me. ALL my inkjet prints get coated for protection and longevity. I'll keep this simple. This spray lays down a protective coating on both gloss and satin surfaces that is perfect for either paper. Seems like an impossible task, but it works. I suppose it works equally well on matte or canvas surfaces but I haven't tired it on those.Side benefits are: It only seems to take a light coating to get the desired effect, thereby using a minimal amount of the spray. And it has significantly less offensive odor when freshly sprayed than other coatings I've used. I'm sold on this stuff.Oh, and it is significantly more neutral in color than other coatings I've tried, in that it doesn't 'warm' the print. It's virtually clear. A good thing.

this is probably the best spray for photos out there
i have tried a bunch including moab desert varnish. this is better. although they are different, and so both might be useful in different scenarios regarding paper finish or inks. this spray is less noticable and goes on lighter than others. quality stuff for sure, as you would expect from hahnmuhle.definitely try it and keep a couple cans in your supply closet.

Spray problem
Had problems with spray spatter on my prints. I tried several methods but they all failed

A good quality-increasing application to your precious prints
This is a good quality-increasing application to your precious prints particularly those that you intend to sell. Be careful when spraying because if you spray too close large droplets could form on the print and these could ruin the surface especially the lustre or glossy ones. I learned this the hard way and I had to throw out a print. I suggest a distance of no less than 12 inches so only the tiny droplets fall on the surface. Do this and the resulting coating is invisible once dried. I had to mark on the back those prints that got coated because they are indistinguishable from those that didn't. One more good thing I discovered is that the coating erases from the print visible smudges of oil from your fingers. Less one star is for the rather steep price

Works on my Inkjet-printed Photos
Expensive. But I finally found something to reliably replace Krylon's "Preserve It!", which doesn't seem to be made anymore.
