I don't know much about meringue powder
I don't know much about meringue powder and this is the first time that I used it, but I can't say that my sugar cookie frosting turned out better than it had in the past so I am going to attribute that to the meringue powder and I am very happy about that because we are having a cookie decorating party this weekend so I am glad that I ordered it. It's a win for me.

Not great on pies!
This works great to stabilize regular egg whites. However, it makes lousy meringue on its own. Every utensil I used was clean. I followed the directions exactly. The meringue looked normal on the pie going into the oven, but came out looking like crunchy "foam." I work with meringue a lot so I know how egg whites work I won't buy this again, but I will use this as a stabilizer for other egg white meringues.
