Husband Loves Them!!
My husband loves these little flashlights! He's an instructor on the C-130 airplanes for the military, and he gives these flashlights to his students. They're really small, but they're also really bright. The students can slip them into their pockets easily, and they love them!!I highly recommend them if you're looking for a compact flashlight that can fit in your pocket and is very brightHope this helps!!~~Cindy

User Malfunction - well, it was - Eat crow..
Well, I've reassessed my stance here, and change my rating... Why, one may ask?Well, if you must know, I pulled the Duracell AAA battery package I'd bought w/24ct about 2 years ago (est). There were 17 left in the package. Of those 17, 9 which I counted, had from minor to severe acid/chemical leakage. Bottom line, for what ever reason, I've changed to think it was the batteries that had been bad. You know Duracell clearly states that the batteries have "Guaranteed 10 Years" right on on the package. Now I don't quite believe that. After all, a multitude of things in my home run on AAA batteries and they are constantly cycled through. Far more rare are those C's and D's that are needed, and so far, they show know signs of such shoddy workmanship and some have been sitting unused for 6-7 years...Just WoW...To top it off, when I first replaced the batteries in the GearLight outlined below, it didn't work. My thoughts, something wrong and I did. Now, I think that in fact, what I thought was the light, turned out to be the batteries though none used showed outward signs of leakage. I think, because there was just enough connectivity to actually drain them, or all the remaining simply went belly up.I don't have anything really bad to say about this product. I purchased the S1000 dual pack.My malfunction - I forgot to turn off the light and set it on my desk. 2dy later when I noticed, there was a faint glow and thus I knew my bad. What I attempted to do though was send an email to GearLight's Customer Service. I even pointed out the above - not rying to blame them for the root cause. The question asked, after I'd replaced the batteries and it no longer worked - Did I burn out the LED unit and the light is no longer operational. The rub - I never got a response back from customer service. The email was sent on Thu 7/25/2024 10:42 AM (CDT) with the subject of: Root Cause - User Malfunction.I guess all the need for the company is to ignore requests and sell product. Clearly Customer Service is not high on the priority list. And, I've made sure to check my junk mail every day since sending. Below you can see the entire email sent if so interested.Well, I left the light on for a couple of days. There was a dim glow from the LED, rightfully so…I thought replacing it was new AAA batteries would fix the problem (new out of the package).Yet, when done, it simply wouldn’t turn on. So, my immediate thought was LED burn out. Not sure if a factor…I’ve not had it long, since March 7, 2024 (and shipped), from Amazon.Since it was a User Malfunction, I don’t expect warranty work, just let me know a couple of things:1) Should I just reorder?2) On another matter though:a. The 2nd flashlight included. However, when shutting down, it cycles through several steps. We normally just want to turn on, use for 5-10m and shut it off. They stepped off is a bit inconvenient. Any way to make it simply turn on / turn off with one click?b. Also, the one that I’ve reported as “failed” above, operated in the mode requested (a simple one click on / one click off) which we like.Thank you for your guidance and time in this matter.
