Perfect and easy set up
Perfect. Easy set up, although we already have other devices on Cync.

Very reliable with the Cync app
The bulbs work very well with the Cync app and routines are easily programmed. I do have some issues with integrating some with the Amazon Echo service where I’ve tried resetting and continue to have unexplained issues. Some bulbs work fine while some just stop being responsive. This is a minor issue for me so I just reduced the rating by a star.

You didn't know that you needed these.
Easy to set up, very nice having these set up on automation. No more manually turning on and off the porch Lights at dawn and dusk.

Not intended for dimmable light fixtures. Perfect to make A NORMAL FIXTURE DIMMABLE. Alexa
So easy to install, screw it in, Alexa automatically finds it once you turn blue tooth on. Then the ONLY CON you have to turn off EACH INDIVIDUAL LIGHTBULB. Say you put 4 in your kitchen ceiling fan light be prepared to tell Alexa turn off all kitchen fan lights, unless you want 3 off then say whatever you rename them.. Also major Con NOT INTENDED FOR PREVIOUS DIMMABLE FIXTURE LIGHTS. THEY WILL NOT WORK AND MAY CAUSE FIRE. so if you are new to everything like me....... Research first. I'm writing this to help other first timers who don't know anything about electronics lol I'm watching all the videos on you tube and reading all about Alexa on the site. I bought smart plugs and a lighting hue when I didn't even need them lol. Just needed high speed internet. But you need a Phillips hue for the lightbulbs that come with the echo dot new gen ....... It's all so confusing

Incredibly unreliable piece of tech
First the good - these GE cync plugs, as well as the cync bulbs, are easy to install. I have 8 in total - 6 plugs and 2 of their bulbs. The app is easy to navigate. I was able to sync the devices with the app, schedule timers, and occasionally have success with auto schedules (they call "routines" and on/off controls. Now, the bad - reliability. These are pretty much the worst "smart" gadget I have in my home. See photo above - this is my experience 90% of the time when I open the app. At least half of the units are unavailable and unable to be controlled at any given time. The cync smart bulb I have in the dining room in particular completely stopped being functional. If I reboot the app, I can usually get a cync plug or bulb to become available again. But the second I leave the app and come back again, it's a coin flip whether or not I can control the same light again. As far as the scheduled routines go, I wanted a group of 4 plugs/bulbs to illuminate lamps at dusk, then turn off automatically at 10pm. Sounds nice, right? It worked for about a week. The routine is still active on the app, but seemingly because the GE products randomly cut out, the routine no longer does anything. Not a single light turns on at dusk. Useless.Until GE releases an update that actually makes these plugs functional, I can wholeheartedly say these are garbage. I'm currently looking at replacing with the leviton smart plug, which seems to have much better reliability from the reviews I read.

Nice when they work, disconnects easily
Color temperature and maximum brightness are what you'd expect. Insofar as being a lightbulb is concerned, this product performs wonderfully. Where cync stinks is the smart portion of being a smart bulb. For example, I have a lamp in direct, unobscured line of sight of the router. The router is new circa 2022, and supports everything through WiFi 6. The router is not the problem. The bulb will still frequently be shown as offline from within the app, and when attempting to adjust is from a smart speaker. This is not the only bulb that will frequently disconnect from the network, but it is indicative of what can happen even in an optimal scenario. If you need a new lightbulb and you need to keep the cost down, this is a perfectly acceptable solution. If you want a satisfying and frustration free smart home lighting solution, look elsewhere.

So easy a caveman could use it
I am about as "un-technological" as they come, and I found these lightbulbs extremely user friendly and intuitive. The app has not let me down at all, it's been a few months.I use this for the entry-way above my front door, and a lamp in my living room.I would note that the outlet you choose to use this for needs to have a switch that's either on or off (not a dimmer per se). You would leave the switch in the permanent on position, and then use the app to control the lightbulb.
