Great in a word.
Great, in a word. Is now my main work screen for approximately the last 12 months.Easy to have multiple documents on the same screen side by side or to work on huge spread sheets with lots of columns.its good value for the quality point and works well for long day usage.

Great item
This is a fantastic monitor I had issues with this item at all I had to return it only because I just didn't have enough work space. For quality power design and size it's brilliant

Had the display for almost 18 months, it's excellent for the price
I bought this monitor almost 18 months ago. It's been great, still working and my experience has been better than expected. I held off writing a review to see if it had any longevity issues. I was familiar with AOC for their standard issue office displays previously.I would definitely recommend it if you're upgrading from a 16:9 setup and you're just getting into ultra-wide displays. There aren't any added features such as a hub, and the stand doesn't have much height adjustment, maybe just enough if you sit low in your chair. I've had mine vesa mounted for at least a year, no issues there. The monitor uses a VA panel, in fairness it doesn't have the worst viewing angles I've encountered. If you're sitting perpendicular to the screen (like you normally would) you're great, if you go past maybe 30° or 40° from the centre the far side is going to get obscured, this doesn't come up often though. Doesn't have much effect looking down when you're standing up, for example. While not being HDR capable (I mean, it's £250) the adaptive brightness feature has been enough for me, setting it in the OSD. It's blacks get deep enough, with that extra setting on, it feels darker than it probably is - which is good. It's colour accuracy overall is okay, I've only had to rerun prints (phtographs) a couple times in the past. The 100 Hz refresh is nice, you feel it during productivity and gaming. It's just enough over 60 to feel smoother. I've used higher refresh displays, gains become marginal over the 100-ish mark, so I've been happy. The on-screen display (OSD) is classic style, navigating with the buttons along the bottom, easy enough to use once you get the hang of it. Nothing special, but I'd recommend the adaptive brightness. Apart from that there's isn't much to say about it.Overall, definitely recommend, fantastic for productivity and certainly capable for gaming on a budget.

Bang for you Buck
For the price you are paying you are actually getting a really good screen. Great resolution and although not top end gaming refresh, still pretty decent with 100Hz refresh rate.

Does not do Picture By Picture properly, fine budget choice for a single feed
Bought a AOC 34" QHD monitor for wife to run two different PC's in dual 1720x1440 PBP mode. When set it up the each PC detects the AOC monitor at 3440x1440 & letterboxes the smaller resolution. You end up with a tiny display with a massive black border of wasted monitor space. PBP mode is totally unusable.Compared with my Samsung 34" which just splits the full screen into two halves (see pictures for comparison)As a single display at 3440x1440 it's a great budget monitor but for my intended use case it's can't do the job.

Monitor U34E2M works fine with old MacBook
So this monitor works well with MacBook 2013 retina, using supplied HDMI cable, screen is working in 1440 mode no scaling, using this screen layout I can have upto 3 documents side by side almost, 2 document or web screens for sure.No additional adjustments needed. The view on this 34” size of screen is just about right for my purposes, viewing multiple documents. For our needs this screen resolution is fine. To hdmi sockets and DP socket. I haven’t tested with new Mac mini m4, will do when it arrives.

No Built-In Speakers
Generally pleased with this purchase (Feb 25) - image quality for the price is great. However having purchased this in part due to the product spec saying it has "Frameless, Built-In Speakers" - I was very disappointed to find it does NOT have any.
