This recipe book stand is brilliant. I had to return another one I'd ordered because it wouldn't stand up, it wasn't adjustable and the page holders were useless. It was a shane because it was a beautiful cast iron one and when I ordered this, I did so reluctantly because it doesn't have that rustic quality. However, I needn't have worried. It looks far nicer in the kitchen than the pictures give it credit for, it's fully adjustable and is secure and the page holders are firm and secure. You can put any size book on it, hardback or paperback and the page holders actually do their job and can be moved around. The end of each one has a fixed silicone cover so you can't rip your pages either. You could put a phone or tablet on it too, although I bought this because I got fed up of using my phone because the screen kept turning off. The longest I can set my phone screen on for without switching off is 10 mins (Samsung S22 ultra), which I understand is for security reasons, but if I'm in my house cooking, it's not like I'm going to lose it or have it stolen is it? Plus, I also got fed up with trying to lean it against the kitchen roll so it'd stay up and the screen is too small for my aging eyes!

This is exactly what I wanted for some large books , it is nice to look at too!
