Good quality item.
I have tried a cheaper version of the Dermaroller (not this version), and it was a total waste of money. The needles were blunt and of no use whatsoever. Having had this done properly at vast expense(the cost will make you weep!), I thought I would give the home treatment one last go.Luckily I stumbled onto this item. The needles are sharp and correctly spaced and after each treatment so far (2), I've been left with that tingling skin sensation which was achieved at the salon. Yes it's uncomfortable, yes at times it will bring tears to your eyes, but will it be worth it? I would say a resounding yes, if you follow the simple steps and take your time. And you could always practice on your significant other if you're not sure :)If your skin is hypersensitive, I would suggest investing in some small tubes of numbing cream - the one used for injections - and let it sit on your skin for the required time. Also treat yourself to some really good face/body serum. But most importantly buy the larger bottle of sterilising solution, also sold on here, as the roller needs to be spotless. Use it on your hands as well to ensure nothing gets into your skin. Good luck, and as with all the treatments women seems to put themselves through It's a case of no pain, no gain!!!!!!!

Good product
I have used this for facial dermarolling 3 times now and once on my hands. I like it very much. I don't see the point in paying for the more expensive ones when they're all the same thing. I sterilise it in surgical spirit for 10 mins or so while I'm waiting for the numbing cream to take effect (which takes longer than 10 mins by the way!) and then run it under really hot water. Then I do the exact same after rolling and leave to air-dry before storing. I think I will buy a new one after the next time as thankfully this is a good price so you don't mind having to buy a new one as you want the needles to be nice and sharp.

Stainless steel rollers are the best.
The roller is easy to clean, 1 mm seems to be the ideal size, and I can see results after 3 months something I couldn’t say of titanium rollers.

Pants
Surgical' grade' needles as sharp as a brick, packaging and instructions in dodgy broken english, cheap plastic handle snapped first use.Don't bother.

Not convinced!
I'm not sure whether this implement works or not. I think it seems as if it has worked initially because the area you use it on swells slightly (or plumps up, as the beauticians would say!) immediately after use, thus giving the effect of its having worked! I'm not convinced! The implement itself seems to be quite robust, and wasn't too expensive, so I'd recommend it if you fancy giving the process a go.

Ow! Ow! Wow!
Let me say from the start that you do not have to be mad to use this but it definitely helps. There's no getting away from it - it hurts! I have read reviews where people mentioned an 'unusual sensation'. Let me put that in plain English - it hurts big-time. The old adage 'you have to suffer for beauty' must have been coined with this in mind. In essence it works by dint of turning you into a human pin-cushion. The idea is that by inflicting miniature areas of trauma on your skin, the skin will rush to repair itself bumping up the quota of collagen, which is what plumps your skin up and makes it look all dew-kissed and unwrinkly. It's been a while since I was dew-kissed or kissed at all and my wrinkles have been mistaken for those furrows people plant spuds in. But the main reason (apart from lunacy) for getting this instrument of torture that was surely inspired by the Chief Inquisitor is that somebody stole my hands. No joke! I just looked down one day, as you do, and there they were, some old crone's hands attached to the end of my arms, and my own smooth, uncrinkly appendages were nowhere to be seen. You can tell a woman's age by the state of her hands apparently, and by the state of these I was already knocking on Heaven's door. Then, whilst looking up coffins and gravestones, I happened on a review of derma-rolling, in which some woman spoke movingly about her hands and how she had restored them to something approaching their former beauty by way of self-harming which, in effect, is exactly what this is. Sold to the woman with the crone's hands! I was in such a hurry to get my ugly mitts on a derma roller, that I ordered this on prime and it arrived the very next day. It looks like a mini garden roller only with vicious spikes. (NB: Just struck by the thought that it might be useful when tenderising particularly stubborn bits of meat - like dinosaur hide!). I had no numbing cream, as advised, so resorted to Preparation H ( no sniggering at the back). I might as well have put it on my piles for all the use it was. Regardless, I girded my loins, gritted my teeth and proceeded to turn myself into a colander, starting with the backs of my hands. Did I mention it hurt? Spots of blood popped up to say hello and the skin beneath turned lobster red. I was almost hyperventilating by the time I'd moved on to my face. Aaaaargh! I'd sooner be punched by a gorilla with a knuckle duster. The area around my mouth was sensitive. The area around my laughter lines (what prat named them that?!) was uber sensitive. The vertical lines between my eyebrows were excruciatingly sensitive and made me sneeze, like when you're tweezing your eyebrows. Then, with much trepidation, I started on my nose. The fear was caused not only by the fact that I knew it would hurt, but also because I have an outbreak of spider-veins, caused by sunburn, in the days when we used to see the sun and not wonder where that big yellow thing went. Up popped more spots of blood. Cue more sneezing. Lastly, I started on those awful lines women of a certain age get on their decolleatage - rings of venus, I heard someone describe them as once, which sounded rather nice. Come up and see my rings of venus. Okay, so now we get to the interesting bit - did this suffering make me a better person? No, but within minutes of using it the back of my hands looked plump as a capon's breast. Of course, this may simply be a result of swelling. However, that was yesterday and today they're still looking mighty good and less crone-like. Not much has happened to my face except, and I'm quite excited by this, my horrible spider-veins look an awful lot less angry. My rings of venus are still encircling the planet of my chest, but they are less obvious too. Of course, rationally, this may all simply be a result of temporary swelling. However, with regular treatment the effects may (she said crossing her fingers) have a more permanent effect. To sum it up, it's early days but I'm optimistic. However, if you are not certified mad with a high pain-threshold, you might want to consider being impaled by a large sword instead. I can't comment about needle size etc. These were sharp enough for me. The packaging was secure. It arrived quickly. I will report back in around a month, if I haven't died through loss of blood.

MT Roller 1.0
I think this is a very good dermaroller however I am no expert. It arrived quickly in a sealed secure plastic bag enclosed in a box with instructions on it, I think the needles are very sharp and as they should be in a zig zag pattern, not in rows, I am very happy about that and it does not hurt like the roller I purchased before.I would buy again from this very professional company, its well worth the money.
