Tasty and fast
Great flavor, simple and no waste. When I need a fast pick me up before the next op this is my go to for an espresso “hit”. Usually make 4 of them to put in my travel mug so everyone thinks it’s normal coffee. In reality it’s a cup of Thunder!!

HUGE pkg of 50 pods!
I was so surprised when we received this pkg of coffee pods because it is a very big box of pods! I don't know what I was thinking or expecting, but 50 pods will take us awhile to get through, especially because we're trying the Senseo Origins pods too. Senseo Origins Coffee Variety Pack II, 16-Count Packages (Pack of 4) How do they compare? They're both very good, but the Lucaffe is bolder, stronger, and smoother than the 3 good varieties in the Senseo. I guess that's to be expected since the Lucaffe is expresso, and the Senseo coffees are not.We brew our pods in our new Bunn MC My Cafe single pod brewer BUNN MC My Cafe Home Pod BrewerI can't compare this brewer to others, all I can say is that we're really happy with our brewer. It brews a good cup of coffee, and is quick! If you have a pod brewer, and want an expresso, you might give the Lucaffe a try, it's a good coffee, at a good price!

Amazing flavor and value.
Much smoother and richer than I anticipated. Truly amazing taste and value compared to getting coffee from even the best coffeehouse. I love having espresso on a lazy morning or a fantastic latte or cappuccino in hand as I walk out the door. No need to stop anywhere.

Average tasting Italian espresso
Couldn't get illy for a bit, so decided to try Lucaffé, also at $.50/pod. Well I won't repeat this. I have 38 left to finish.....not sure how... I guess I will be keeping them for emergencies Not smooth tasting at all. Typical robusta flavor, harsh, ashy. There are no layers in this coffee, no pleasant aftertaste. The extraction is fast too, compared to illy, not even 10 seconds! It's an average cup, at best. Poor packaging: 40 pods loosely tossed in a clear plastic bag, itself shipped to me in a plain padded envelope. No visible expiration/best by date anywhere.

Nutty, chocolatey, full bodied flavor, but not as intense or deep as I'd like for espresso.
**********************March 2015 update:My last box of the Classic blend was not as good as previous orders. The espresso tasted much nuttier and lighter than I had previously tasted. I don't know if it's because of the age of the pod or the batch, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I previously had. The flavor wasn't as intense and rich as I remembered. I recently purchased a box of the new Caffe Borbone BLACK, and I'm incredibly impressed with the depth, intensity, and richness of their Black blend. I'm downgrading my previous 5 star to a 4 star.**********************Previous review:I've been in and out of the at-home espresso market since 2004 when I got my first machine. Back then I was working at Starbucks (2000-2006) and I got a super cheap Estro Vapore machine that had been sitting in a Starbucks basement for years.Long and short, when I recently wanted to get back into making at-home macchiatos, I wanted something simple and clean. I bought myself a Gaggia Evolution and a box of these Lucaffe Classic pods. My wife's friend told me about Lucaffe, so I decided to check them out.I have to say, I'm super impressed. They produce better espresso than tamping my own portafilters with fresh ground espresso. And the best part is cleanup - just pull the ESE pod out, rinse, done!Back to Lucaffe: the classic blend is incredible. I tried these Lucaffe's side by side with the Caffe Borbone Blu pods - which thousands of people rave about according to the Amazon reviews. Honestly, I was really surprised to find the Lucaffe's to be better. The Lucaffe Classics are smooth, consistent, full of body and chocolaty: just what I want in my espresso. Pour this into a bit of steamed milk and you've created bliss.Compared to Caffe Borbone? The Borbone Blu's were much more acidic and tangy. They are still offer a good shot of espresso, but don't have the aroma or body that the Lucaffe's do. I much prefer the Lucaffe's. I returned the Borbone Blu box of 150 pods I had purchased, and got myself another one of the Lucaffes.I also appreciate Lucaffe's packaging: the sealed foil is small and thin. The Burbone foil is much more dense and larger. I didn't see why the added weight and size was needed for the same size pod. Each Lucaffee pod was fresh and consistent - average brew time on my Gaggia Evolution was 18-29 seconds depending on the type of portafilter I used (I have 2: one that came with the Gaggia, and another one with more extraction holes in the portafilter that came with a bottomless, aftermarket portafilter. I prefer to use the one with the more holes. I lightly sprinkle the pod with hot water from the espresso machine before sealing the portafilter and brewing.)I have yet to try the other Lucaffe's, but I'm really impressed with the 80%/20% blend of Arabica/Robusta beans. Robusta are known to be inferior to Arabica, but they're also know to be important in certain espresso blends - they add to the gamut of flavor and can compliment Arabica beans if done right. Clearly Lucaffe has found the right Robusta blend to add to their pods.Other Lucaffe products offer 90/10 blends, 60/40 and even 40/60 blends. They also offer a pure Arabica espresso pod. I'll get around to tasting them over time, but I'm so impressed with the Classic blend that I'm sticking to them.Anyway, you can't go wrong with spending $26 for 50 pods. Give it a try if you're searching for the right espresso pod to work with your ESE compatible espresso machine. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised if you, too, enjoy chocolaty, smooth tasting espresso with full body and toasty aroma.Ben

Not bad!
Well I normally get the Illi ese pods so this was change. The flavor is a little more burnt too me but it does the trick. Great crema. Great price. If your on the fence you should be ok with it.
