Quick fix
The "waterproof" sensor on my floodlight filled up after a hard rain. This was cheaper and easier to use as a replacement (once you factor in the hassle of reboxing an returning). It's been dry and functioning for months through big storms.

It knows when you're there and gives you the light you want
This replaced a similar unit that went bad. It was easy to install and works as expected.

Works very well
Got this to replace 25 year old sensor that no longer worked well. Quite pleased with the sensitivity and performance of this unit. Construction of the unit is not very robust, but should be ok if it doesn’t get bumped regularly.

perfect replacement
original sensor was acting erractically and staying on most of the night. Ordered this replacement sensor instead of a complete motion sensing outdoor security light. Though a completely new light was only a few dollars more, wanted to minimize environmental impact of tossing out my entire light.Wiring was easy. As indicated on the diagram, white and black wires go to the outlet box. But the color for the trigger wire may not match your unit. See how the wires are hooked up on your old unit beforehand.

A cheap alternative to swapping the whole light fixture
The sensor went out in front of my aunt's garage. I finally got around to swapping it out for this one. I upgraded her old halogens for some modern, energy-saving LED ones and swapped the sensor without having to change the actual fixtures. It's working perfectly now.

Easy setup and LED compatibility!
I recently replaced the motion sensor on my outdoor floodlights with the EDISHINE 180-Degree Motion Sensor, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Thanks to the clear instructions, the installation was straightforward, and the included wire nuts made hooking everything up a breeze. Adjusting the detection range and delay time was simple, and I could set it just right to avoid unnecessary triggers while still covering the area I needed. One of the best features is the adjustable neck—you can angle the sensor exactly where you want, which made a big difference for my setup. It works perfectly with my LED lights, and the different modes are super convenient. I mostly use the Auto mode, but having the Manual Override and Dusk to Dawn options is a nice bonus. It’s a great, affordable replacement that saved me from buying a whole new floodlight. It’s definitely worth it!

Installed easily exactly per diagram. Motion sensing works just as described.
Bought this to replace an old unit that had become funky. The old one had basically become an on/off switch - any motion at all and it basically came on and stayed on the rest of the night.Installed easily. The diagram in the instructions was a little bit small, but readable. If that's all I had it would have been fine. But the diagram shown in the listing as an image is far easier to read. It's real basic stuff: white to white, black to incoming black/power, yellow to outgoing black/to light.Sensing works as expected. I wanted it to NOT come on too easily and put the sensitivity to minimum / 10'. That works about right. It'll come on if my wife pulls her car up to the garage, but doesn't 'fire off' too easily if something flies by 30' away. That's exactly what I wanted. Can't speak to sensitivity at max-distance if that's what you're looking for.Ditto time-delay works as expected. I set it on 'test' right after installation and went through the 'setup' as the instructions say. Worked fine. If you don't go through the recommended test 'setup' then I'm not sure what it would do. I then set it to ~1 min delay and it's working as advertised. Again, YMMV. I want it to turn off fairly quickly - it's just there to light up when we pull up to the garage, for only long enough to walk inside. I don't want it staying on for a long time.I did have to add a washer to the base of the mounting post, because it wouldn't 'tighten up' enough to be snug to my standard-thickness electrical box. YMMV. Running the threads a little 'deeper' wouldn't hurt.
