Very nice bike, very nice customer service
The bike looks great. Black and orange colors are very very cool, looks mean. 29" wheels are huge but very light weight. Took some time to figure out the disc brakes but once I figured out how it works, I was able to reseat (wasn't mounted correctly when arrived) and adjusted the power and now very assuring braking power. Seat hurt a lot so bought a new seat at Amazon. Bike is very fast at downhill. Worked nice on snow covered uphill but wished for one more low gear. Now I know why 27 speed is better than 24 speed. Even the frame is only 17" medium, it is big. I'm 6'. With 29" tires, even 17" frame feels like a very big bike. Very tall. Broke the chain after 4-5 uses on about 10 mile trail. Called the customer service (very very nice service by Sidney), short waiting, and new chain is on the way, covered by warranty. Can't wait to go out again because this bike is so good. Bought it from Amazon just before the price increased by about 10% so very happy. 2 months delivery at the time of order but was delivered in 3 week.

Great Bike for the money, make sure front forks are facing the correct direction
IF YOU ENCOUNTER ISSUES WITH THE FRONT WHEEL HITTING YOUR FOOT OR PEDAL, YOU HAVE THE FORKS BACKWARDS!When I unpacked and assembled this bike, I saw that I was encountering the issue where the front wheel was extremely close and hitting my foot. After a little investigation, I saw that this was because the forks are reversed when shipping. Turn the forks around so the large U bracket is facing forward, and this solves the issue and is how the bike is intended to be assembled as per the manufacturer's pictures.Outside of this, I am a big guy, 6'2" and 330lbs so far this bike holds me up quite well, I am yet to do any major riding, but I wanted to make a note for everyone since I have seen multiple reviews showing that, but no one has posted a how-to correct this. Simple fix when assembled correctly; it's just not documented by the manufacturer. For the record, I wear a size 14 shoe and have ample space between my foot and the front wheel when turning, simple fix, to poor documentation.

Good
Great out of the box for casual riding. I bought this bike and did a ton of modifications to it just because I like to tinker with anything I own. It's takes a bit of doing homework to modify as it's not up to date or par with the fancy shmancy stuff from today, but if you like to modify stuff it's kind of fun having to figure out what fits. Now that being said I wouldn't pay the 600 something they are asking now I payed around 300 bucks for it so it made sense to modify it. At 600 id probably get a cheaper specialized or giant or something along those lines. The bike is a good entry level bike reliable and Schwinn has always had great customer service.

Overall, a good bike for someone 6'2 - 6'3
I have a hard time bike shopping. Being taller with really long legs makes finding a bike that is tall enough, with enough space from the handlebars to clear the knees, semi-challenging. This was a winner. One of the first things I would recommend is taking it to a bike shop after assembly for a "tune-up". It won't cost you much ($15-$20) and they can double check all the things you aren't an expert in adjusting. I feel like this saved me tons of potential future issues. Also fixed my chain slip issue by adjusting chain tension I assume.Overall this bike has been good for trail riding and riding around town. I added a rack to the back and carry baskets on either side for longer trail riding storage or shopping around town, works great. Also upgraded the pedals to these, I don't like my feet to slip off when it's wet/muddy: https://amzn.to/45zGnVuRack: https://amzn.to/3BXSDBABaskets: https://amzn.to/3BYduovHeadlight/horn: https://amzn.to/3IMRh0lWater bottle holder: https://amzn.to/3IP0iWH

Broken chain on first ride
I received the bike today, looks great, easy to assemble. Take it for my FIRST ride and shifting the gears was so loud and unclean/shotty and then went up a hill and the chain snapped. I have product support from Schwinn telling me the next steps but this might be one of the worst products out there. I have a 20 year Trek that never had a chain break. Cheap is not just the price.Update September (purchased in July): I want to update this by saying my bike repair shop has had this bike more than I have. DO NOT PURCHASE. Two chains, a new derailer and now both pedals--I have spent an extra $300 on this bike. It's is VERY cheap!

Very good for the price.
Got this for myself and my wife. Both are very happy.Requires assembly. If you are not comfortable doing it yourself, take it to a bike shop. For me, it was pretty simple to do myself.Gear shifting was precise out of the box - not sure if we got lucky or if it was tuned up before packaging, but the bottom line is I didn't have to take them to the bike shop for tune-up.

Rear Wheel Bearings Fell Out
I've had the bike around 4 months, have been riding it about twice a week nearly every week at a local park with XC trails.I thought the bike was pretty good when I bought it. It assembled fairly well. After assembly, I got everything dialed in and was ready to go. I've not had any major issues with the bike until this past weekend when I was pedaling uphill and the rear wheel gave way and started rubbing against the frame when I would put any sort of torque on the chain.I finally got around to looking at it and pulled the rear wheel off this evening and the axel fell right out of the hub (which it should not do). I'm going to have to take it to the bike shop and have it serviced.Good thing I've already ordered another bike and will be selling this one as soon as its been fixed.Don't buy from Amazon, watch some youtube videos and buy from another vendor. These bikes are no better than that box store bikes.

Love it
Great bike light and great looking. Just getting into mtb. Damn good starter. If you’re a casual biker. All you will need. If you want to just ride and cruise I would suggest a new softer seat. This one seems to be a peddle peddle sit a bit seat. If you’re going to be sitting and peddling most of the time. Get a new 1. Besides that. A great bike
