Bristan VAL HNK C CD Value Lever High Neck Pillar Kitchen Sink Taps with 3" (76mm) Levers, Chrome

I always choose Bristan as they are well made and robust. This mixer replaced some old leaking pillar taps that had seen better days. This new Mixer is very good quality for the price and I love the lever taps which make use do much easier. Beautiful chrome, and stylish. Makes washing up less of a chore as so great for rinsing dirty dishes and pans. I did get a plumber to fit as my days of sticking my head under a sink are well and truly gone. Sink taps in kitchens are always trickier due to the location. As a 63 year old female I wasn't attempting it, but have done Bathroom taps with ease so if you are fitter and more supple a quick you tube video and the correct tools should make fitting this a breeze. Highly recommend.

I was looking to replace my Bristan kitchen taps installed over 13 years ago with the same model and found a slightly updated version at two well known on-line suppliers for a smidgen under £50 for the pair, Just on the off-chance I checked Amazon before placing an order - and was extremely glad I did. I found the identical product on special offer for just over £22 for the pair (plus free postage)! What can I say. A no brainer!!!! The smooth lever action and precise control make these taps a pleasure to use - especially if, like me, arthritic fingers and thumbs pose an occasional nuisance!

The adjustable feet were essential for me, and just as well I chose this item, since the spacing on the sink cutouts was unexpected. Because the feet can be adjusted in offset, they will fit a wide range of spacings. The high spout allows me to move both taps and spout with elbows if required, and is high enough from the floor of the sink to get me entire head under if I want. Mixing at low settings is fine for sink filling but the mix is not so thorough for direct use.The downside to having such a high spout I find, is that there is more splatter that might be expected. All in all, I think it is of good quality and a good purchase.

A nice-looking traditional style set of kitchen taps for those of us not too worried about having the latest fashionable design, and with easy on-off levers if you have problems turning taps on or off by the twisting method. These are good functional taps which are easily fitted (though be careful to measure everything up for fit before ordering; my plumber discovered when fitting them that they were a little longer underneath than my previous set and had to juggle them a bit to get them to fit into my existing pipe work. Have been using them for a couple of months now and they are still looking good and working well. I can happily recommend them to others.

A very nice design, British made with good parts and advice back-up. It was easy for a DIYer to fit with correct tool, took just over an hour to get old taps off and 10 minutes to fit these Bristan taps. Also bought similar bath /shower mixer taps another good sturdy tap from Bristan. Both work well and look super. Again tough to get old taps off, took even longer but easy to fit new ones. Shower and kitchen taps both work well a joy to have new taps... and the price was good too.

My wife has arthritis and was finding it difficult to manage ordinary taps so bought theses long handled taps, so much easier for her , stylist & easy to manage, has made a big difference for her

The product seems well made, and delivered on time. However the product description from the manufacturer, BRISTAN , found by scrolling past AMAZONS description, states that, BRISTAN VAL DSM C CD VALUE LEVER DECK KITCHEN SINK MIXER TAP, is a " DUAL FLOW PREVENTS HOT WATER ENTERING THE MAINS SUPPLY " type of tap. However, on installation, this tap appeared to be a SINGLE FLOW tap. Upon checking BRISTANS official site, it is listed as a SINGLE FLOW tap. Customers should be aware that WATER COMPANY regulations may require installation of a non return valve in order to comply with cross contamination concerns of drinking water supply, for this reason i can only rate this item at 3 Star.
