Topping D70 Pro OCTO DAC
Nice piece of kit this DAC. Upgrade from from the Topping E70 Velvet. The E70 Velvet was great. The separation, sound stage and imagining from what I can tell is better and notable. My only criticism perhaps is now I'm at a level of definition where I not sure if it's correct. I say this only because I'm use to lower resolution. When I A/B between a lower resolution rig and this setup with the D70 Octo it reveals with more detail how the song(s) were recorded. To say a good recording is going to sound fantastic and a bad recording is going to sound not so great. Ignorance is bliss? Lol. It's fine. Enjoy your music that's the important thing. Value for money, Functionality, Ease of use...check ✅️ No regrets Upgrading. I loved my E70 Velvet and I love the D70 Octo. Whatever your budget can handle I'm sure you're going to be happy. These 2 units IMO are some of Toppings best offerings. 👌🏻 Just remember to enjoy your music.

I'm glad I decided to try this DAC, it's a keeper!
I'll preface this by saying I went through about 5 different DAC and amp stacks before settling on this DAC paired with the A70 Pro headphone amplifier for my Arya Stealth Magnets. I can find no faults with this DAC. It works perfectly via USB to my computer and I use it for everything from playing games to listening to high res audio through Tidal. No dropouts, pops, or clicks like I would sometimes experience from a few other DAC's I had used in the past. It was a hard decision to go with this one or the Sabre chipped model, but ultimately this one won me over as I was afraid the Sabre could potentially be a little bit too bright for my liking and possibly fatiguing from the treble. I also just generally thought the concept for the 8 individual chips in this one was rather neat, so decided to give it a shot.Everything about it is perfect for me. So much detail is present, imaging is fantastic and it seems to have made the soundstage wider on my Arya's. Absolutely zero background noise. I love the high resolution high refresh rate screen on these units as well. They look great and they do not lag.Give this DAC a shot and I think you'll be very well satisfied.

Hi Quality, Affordable Dac
The Topping D70 Pro Octo is a terrific, high quality dac. I'm using it with the Topping A70 Pro headphone amp and the combination is top notch. Clean, clear, detailed, warm, sound. I find the dac to be very balanced in the treble, mids and bass. The dac is very enjoyable to listen to and not fatiguing. I highly recommend the D70 Pro Octo dac to anyone looking for an affordable dac that provides high end sound.

Excellent DAC.
Tried a “A/B” comparison with SMSL DO200 pro, so Cirrus 8 chipper to 12 chipper …. The 8 Cirrus Octo came out on top. Well 200$ more the Octo should be better.Further DAC a-b latter this week with Gustard r26, and ah90, smsl su10 …. May the best DAc win!
