First off, I am a HUGE coffee fan. Love the taste, the smell, the caffeination, everything.Having said that… Even if you are only a casual coffee drinker I think you’ll find a lot to like with these bars. They are more than just caffeine in snack form.They taste like a nicely sweetened coffee. The dates in these will give the bar a nice texture as well as a welcome sweetness. Slightly chewy but not too taffy like.I also really like the way the caffeine kicks in. Each bar contains the caffeine equivalent of two cups of coffee but it is a gradual boost that doesn’t make for a case of the jitters.Definitely a perfect pick up for when you are on the go.

I'm so disappointed. I love the energy mango flavor, but it has been out of stock for a while now. So I am trying all the other "Energy" series, and they are all nasty. But I love the mango/lime flavor.

Maybe because I’m an outdoors person and have eaten a lot of crappy protein bars, but I didn’t find the taste all that bad. It smells like coffee and is a little sweet. It kept me moving on the trail, which is its job. I think folks expect one of this company’s fruit bars instead. It’s just not that. This bar isn’t overly flavorful, but I think folks are exaggerating in their descriptions of the flavor. And no, it doesn’t taste like coffee grounds or compost.

These are okay. Texture is like chewing dried fruit dense gelatin. Taste is just okay. Wouldn’t buy again.

I got these to substitute for the out of stock item, the dark chocolate espresso truffles. These are a good substitute. I do like them, however, I do believe the truffle chocolate is more bitter.....still hoping the others return!!

These give you a significant boost of caffeine but the worst aftertaste. It's like eating a raw espresso bean and having a coffee coating stuck to your teeth. If you can stomach all that, then these are acceptable. If flavor and texture are important to you, then stick to just drinking coffee!!

Tasty to me, vegan and organic. Also a great seller!

Unfortunately, I really did not like these. I am an avid coffee drinker and I also enjoy dates so I thought for sure I would like this despite some of the questionable reviews. Well they were right. I found the texture fine, it was what I expected since one of the ingredients was dates, it's not too far off from their fruit bars (which I really like). However, the coffee taste was so bitter I couldn't take it. I might give them another try at a later time since I have a whole bag, but my first impression was really off-putting.
