These shorts fit great, look great, and perform great.I have a 35 inch waist, I bought size 34 shorts, and theyfit great; they're not tight, or loose. The shorts don't pull down unlessthere untied, I love these, and will buy them again when I need board shorts.

I live and work on an island in the Caribbean, so board shorts are a staple item in most people's closet. The length is nice and long without them getting pulled off your hips by your knees. I've worn them a few times now and they've held up nicely, so the quality is decent so far. The print is terrific, looks just like the picture. The shorts lost one star for only one pocket, normal for traditional board shorts, but I personally prefer side pockets too. The shorts also lost one star for value, because they're pricier than I what I usually pay. Other than that, very happy with the purchase.

Size 36 was true to size. The length was perfect, to my knee. I loved how the shorts where a little baggy compared to others. The side pocket is big enough to hold my Samsung Ultra. I have been looking for the perfect shorts for 45 years!! Now I have found them in Hawaiian Island Creations!!
