Works Great!
Setup:This product was easy to setup and works great. I was using this as a wireless bridge to be able to plug a network switch into a space that didn't have a network drop. The process was to plug the device in, connect to the wireless network that it created, go to this devices website, select the operating mode, then select my existing wireless network and provide the password. It was also convenient that they provided a network cable.Use case:We had our tech bench setup on an island in the middle of our office space that didn't have a network drop, but did have power. Instead of running a cable across the floor or a power pole from the ceiling, this product allowed us to connect to our wireless network and provide a cabled connection to our tech bench switch, allowing us to plug in various computers and other network devices on the tech bench without needing wireless. This can be used to allow any devices with a network cable connection port (RJ-45) to connect to a wireless network.I also like that it didn't need a power brick, but the whole device plugs directly into the power strip, which reduced the clutter. This device can also be used as a wireless extender, creating an additional wireless network you can connect to for devices that are too far away. I didn't want to use the device for this function, so I like that they provided an option to hide this additional wireless network (SSID).

Does what it says with some cavets
If you are like me, and you have an AP or a perfectly adequate wifi solution that you have configured, this is a terrible device. The instructions say there are 3 operating modes.- Extender- AP- Bridge (Ethernet by connecting to wifi)The device is also marketed as a bridge. However; when opening the box the instructions for all 3 modes are present, with the "Bridge" function telling to to refer to the "Extender" setup.Additionally; when connecting to the devices default wifi network, this is confirmed as the only 2 operation modes you can choose are "AP Mode" and "Extender Mode".After provisioning if you thought you could simply log into the interface to disable the "Extender" functionality I have some bad news for you. No, you cant. The best you can do is disable the networks being seen on the network list. However you cannot disable the extender feature. The bridge port will work and you can access the internet through it, but your AP, or wifi router is now not only contending for channels with your neighbors, but this extender as well. You now get to watch as your wifi health degrades as it switches channels every 10min and the TX/RX retries start bumping up because this adapter is literally spamming RF in your environment.Certainly you can fix this by a firmware update?Sorry: Your adapter is upto date!

Solved my problem
Bought this for a specific purpose. Xfinity gateway wants your 2.4 and 5 gHz networks to have the same SSID. My old Xbox 360 didn't like that at all and refuse to connect to wifi.Setup via WPS button was super easy and it instantly created SSID_EXT and SSID_5GEXT networks. Plugged in the included eternity cable and connected to the Xbox and problem solved.Decided cable would be better on other side, so unplugged and turned the unit over. Took less than 30 seconds to go back to the solid blue connected status indicator.Network speeds on the Xbox status tests were not that good, 7.3 Mbps up and 14 .7 down with 101ms latency, but I probably won't play online games, just updates and such.I plugged it in to a Kasa smart switch that I can power cycle remotely if necessary to reboot or even turn off if security is a concern. So, in conclusion, it is not strictly a wireless to ethernet adapter, it is an extended with one ethernet port. But, if you have a device that won't function on wifi and has a wired port, it is a quick and easy alternative to running a wire to another room.

Only works on Main VLAN (192.168.0) jeopardizing security
This only works with a default simple flat network. I will update this review if support sends me a new firmware update. Out of the box, this unit has the first 3 subnet digits locked. It always stays on 192.168.0 (only last 3 digits can be edited). If you know anything about security, you dont ever want to have your main admin network used for anything but managing network equipment. If you need to use it on a different LAN for security purposes, it will not work. This is super disappointing and short sighted by the developers.

Definitely better speed. Do not like the extended wifi part tho
For context I was using this for an xbox to give it wifi6 capability as the xbox does not support it.Before this device my xbox was getting about 200mbps download with 32ms latencysetup.setup was pretty easy though for the non technical people out there , it is somewhat lacking on explaining thing or options. The one thing I did not like was that even though I was using this device solely for ethernet to wifi conversion. It forces you to EXTEND your current wireless network as well like a repeater. And creates two new wifi SSID's that show up in your house. I wish there was a way to disable it.After installI connected my xbox and did a speed test. The speed went up to 900mbps on a 1gbps cable internet service. so that was good. The latency did increase to 54. So for gaming the latency going up is worse .I will try it out for a few weeks but may ultimately hardwire.
