Book Tabs for First Aid for The USMLE Step 1 2024 34th Edition. Laminated, Color-Coded and Repositionable with Alignment Card for Easy Installation (Book not Included)

I got the other brand first, bc both say they are laminated, and was cheaper. However, in reading reviews & so forth , others pointed out they are really just shiny stickers whereas this product is actually laminated.When I got the others, they were stuffed in my mailbox in a way that already put a crease. That's manageable, if I had to. They work, if there is nothing else. They are though definitely less. I included a picture of both, bc these are truly laminated. You can feel the difference.Also, both say they have alignment cards, but if you look closely at the others, they have a card, but no guide on how to use it. The assumption I guess is that you will do them all at once, so you if you just pay attention, you won't mess up. I can see though things that could go wrong, like accidentally starting on the wrong side or something. So you will have an alignment card that places them straight, but you could accidentally duplicate spots or something.These have an alignment card that tells you exactly where, so I tried it out by doing some stuff at the beginning and some stuff at the end - more to show what I mean. The advantage is what if in this moment, I only need some sections. If I'm too busy to do all of it, I can do what I need and come back to it. (Med school is med school, and time is at a premium.These have that little number in the corner. Also, the others if you mess up (don't!), they are stuck already. You can safely move these (unless you are a brute). I tested it on a page I cared less about. These are worth it. They are qualitatively better. It's not even close. They are worth the extra money too. I wouldn't say it's ridiculous either. What you are getting is worth that kind of money. First Aid should color-code the book pages, but they don't. Other books I have do, so you keep up with what section you are in (like Costanzo).Stickers are stickers.

It makes finding pages so much easier. Just pay attention towards the end because my edition was off my a couple pages once I got to the back of the book

Pretty good tabs. I made the mistake of putting them along the top and side border because I didn’t want it to be super crowded but that was a mistake because it makes it tougher to find the tabs/ less organized. That’s on me.The one thing that it’s missing is some kind of indicator or ruler for placing the tabs. I wanted it to be neat and my tabs to line up properly/ fit okay. I ended up having to make a paper with markings and using it as a guide for each tab I placed. The whole thing took me forever which was really annoying. So 2 stars off for time consuming and missing a key feature (for me).

The user experience is night and day compared to the old method of organization tabs. These are really durable and beyond easy to apply. The alignment card lets you keep it neat and lined up.

These tabs were amazing! They were super easy to place thanks to the included alignment card and the clear numbering and order of alignment. The tabs peel off the sheet easily, and the fact that they're laminated makes them sturdy and durable. They made navigating through First Aid for the USMLE Step 2 CK 11th edition so much easier and saved me a lot of time when reviewing. I also appreciated that they included some blank tabs for marking extra pages or using in another book. A few tabs had minor spelling errors, but it wasn’t a big deal since it was easy to figure out what they were meant to say. Overall, very useful and well-designed — highly recommend!
