Can’t really tell yet, too early to tell.
I have a mature Acer in a tub, but even using the correct soil and compost it is still showing the soil to be too Alkaline. I read that Sulphur can gradually change the soil towards more neutral over time. Easy to use, you don’t need much per volume of soil, but I realise this is a long game.

Excellent, have already fed my plants with these chips
Excellent, have already fed my plants with these chips....they are magical and have certainly made a difference to my acid loving plants. You only need a small handful, maybe once/twice a year, and it will last a long time. Of course keep tightly closed and somewhere dry.
