Does a fine job for less money!
Recent back surgery means I have no desire to wrestle with a heavy ironing board. Fortunately, I have had plenty of seamstressing, and my local quilting shop inspired me to try the quilters "go-to" and get a pressing felt, wool or mat. YES! The mat gives me a nice large work area and includes a safe pad to set the iron as well. I just bought it and have used it only one day, but if it fails too soon I will return to say so. IN THE MEANTIME - YESS. YESS - Thank you to Amazon and the folks who provide this item for our purchase.

I use it on my table when I am ironing

Large yet portable.
I loved that it included a pad for the iron. It folds or rolls up easily and is light weight. I take to quilting sewing bees to use on a conference table.

Big
Very big! Fits exactly the space I needed it to go. I iron fabric sewing and needed more room than just an ironing board.

Didn’t last long
Steam goes right through this and whatever you place it on gets soaking wet. I have had it for a few months and it is ready to be pitched

Works and good for portable ironing
I love this for portable ironing projects - that sounds like a crazy thing, but if you are an avid sewer/crafter you know how often you want to iron something in a place that is very not designed for ironing. I like that I can just pack this up with a small iron and have a pressing surface handy. It's surprisingly big which is great -the portable ironing boards/pads I've used before are quite small so this is helpful for larger pieces. The rubber ironing mat isn't fixed in place which I appreciate since I don't need or want to use it much, but if you do like that it would be easy enough to sew it down if desired or otherwise just set it wherever is convenient. The only thing I don't love is that the top tends to crease a bit - it's not perfect but the only pads I've used that don't have this are set on hard boards so I think it's just a characteristic of soft mats. It was not enough to cause any issues for me regardless.

Very Practical
I have lots of linen tablecloths to iron for a wedding reception. This fits over our kitchen table so I don't have to balance yards of material on my narrow ironing board
