We loved the taste of sarsparilla as a fizzy drink ~ I hope I can replicate it!
As described ~ Fair price ~ Not yet tried but we used to get the fizzy drink 'Sass' when we were kids, made from sarsparilla and we loved it. Unfortunately, it hasn't been available for several decades so I'm hoping I can replicate the taste

Excellent, very nice product, delighted!
I received this item via the vine programme and here is my honest and unbiased review. This stuff is really very nice. It arrived well packages and comes in a ziplock Brown paper and plastic bag. There is so much in this bag and it looks and smells to be really nice good quality. The tea is lovely, and it tastes just right. There doesn't seem to be any added bulking agents, and I am really very happy with this. I will be very interested in looking at this companies other products in the future as this is really excellent!4 stars!

High-Quality Herbal Tea That Feels as Good as It Tastes – Highly Recommend!
I recently ordered the Lowhill Valley Jamaica Sarsaparilla Root (100g), and I’m thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The package arrived promptly and undamaged, which is always a relief. It came in minimal but safe and hygienic packaging, using a resealable, eco-friendly pouch that not only keeps the product fresh but also aligns with a more sustainable lifestyle — something I really appreciate. As for the tea itself, this is a great quality product. You can see and smell the difference the moment you open the pouch — it’s clear this is responsibly sourced and made to a high standard, with no fillers, additives, or preservatives. It’s exactly what I was looking for in a natural herbal product.I’ve been using it as part of my wellness routine, and I find it to be very well suited to its intended purpose. It brews easily, with a rich, earthy flavor that’s both grounding and refreshing. I’ve been enjoying it both hot and cold, and I do feel like it's given me a gentle boost in energy and overall vitality throughout the day. It’s also reassuring to know it’s naturally rich in iron and traditionally used for stamina, skin health, and overall well-being. I haven’t been using it long enough to comment on long-term effects, but I’m really pleased with how it fits into my routine so far.For the price, especially considering the quality and ethical sourcing, this is definitely a great value. If you're looking to add a trusted herbal tea to your wellness collection, I can confidently say I’m happy to recommend this Jamaica Sarsaparilla Root.

Nice but quite licoricey
I am familiar with Sarsaparilla root as part of root beer flavour drinks. I was expecting this to be similar. However, it is more of a liquorice taste. I made some tea and found it to be pleasant but not really something I would drink on a regular basis. I understand there are lots of health benefits.

Tastes weird as a tea.
Item being reviewed: Lowhill Valley Jamaica Sarsaparilla Root - Smilax officinalis – 100% Natural Herbal Tea – No Additives or Preservatives – Responsibly Sourced – 100g.Price at time of order / review: £9.99.I got this because it's an ingredient in the root beer pop recipe I want to try. Since it's sold as a tea I thought I'd try a cup or two that way too. It's .. earthy. It's the only word coming to mind. It was ok. But I didn't like it enough to continue drinking it as a tea. I'll leave it as a root beer ingredient because I know it tastes good that way.
