Why did you pick this product vs others?:Fingers crossed. My father has a bad habit of starting something to cook and walking away. Now he can take this with him to remind himself HE LEFT THE STOVE ON.

Great timer! Does what it's suppose to do. I found it hard to find in the local stores, just had to look on line and found this one on Amazon.

It's loud the ringer lasts a few seconds you usually hear it but I wish it was a longer lasting that's why I'm only giving it four stars I just wish it was a little longer lasting (the ringer)

This timer is not worth the plastic from which it is made. It's inaccurate in that it stops timing 30 seconds before it gets to zero (0). Although that's a comparatively short period of time, I didn't buy this timer to have to watch over it when I cook. Also, it's unusual that you have to go all the way to 55 minutes to set up a timer period of 15 minutes. Nope - this is in no way a good machine. Don't waste your money like I did: I'm going to give this piece of junk to a charity versus spending my time and money returning it. Maybe someone else can tolerate inaccuracy. I will not buy this brand again.

I understand the part of doing a full rotation to "wind it up" but it only works well with a shorter time. I've tried to use it for a full hour, and it doesn't ring. Good if you a reminder in less time.

Good old basic wind-up timer. Bought these because my son wanted to get a better grasp of timing for daily tasks. Working great so far! Loud ring. Best part is no batteries needed!
