Perfectly serviceable for normal people
I have been using this mouse for 18 months now. I have a Streacom DB4 connected to my flat-screen TV and use it as a house computer/entertainment device. It's operated by a wireless Jellbean keyboard and this Logitech mouse. Both devices have a receiver USB piece plugged into a USB hub connected to the Streacom. Wireless range in my apartment from the couch to the computer about 12 feet away has no issues whatsoever as long as it has most of a line of sight. There is a corner I can't avoid where the USB hub is, and it doesn't like that at all so I just covered a USPS box with aluminum foil that sits with all my other computer stuff and reflects the infrared without issue. The mouse doesn't work great on the tan couch fabric itself, but works flawlessly on my green pillow, so surface is a factor.Anyone using this with a mousepad anywhere near their computer shouldn't have any issues. Battery lasts over a month with daily use and there is a programmable button I set for CTRL. No issues disconnecting, although once in a great while after the computer wakes the mouse doesn't respond and I have to pull the receiver out and back in to reconnect. The it's fine for months. Don't see why I'd buy anything different unless I knew of one that works on all surfaces.

Great Value for money! Get this if you don't want to pay the full amount of the MX3
Like many others during 2020, I was looking to upgrade my work from home set up. I've wanted a Logitech MX mouse for a long time but was pretty turned off by the higher price of 100+ for the new Master mx3.In comes this original MX. I came across it during my product research and saw that it was going for around 60 dollars which I thought was really reasonable considering it basically has most of the features the new MX3 has.Been really happy with my purchase in my 1.5 month daily usage of this!Pros:- Great ergonomic feel. While I would have like it to be a bit more tiled up like the new MX3, the slightly raised angle that is a bit closer to a traditional mouse is also very comfortable. Love how the mouse is big enough to let me rest most of my hand on it. Feels really solid and confidence inspiring.- Highly customizable. Really like how you're able to customize just about any of the buttons on the device.- Beautiful design. Just really well thought out design for the mouse.- Battery life. Been using it almost daily as it's my main computer mouse and I haven't really had to charge it for over a month- Multi Device support. Really convenient how I can go between my work Microsoft computer and personal Macbook computer.Cons:- Desktop switching on Mac. For the life of me can't get the mouse to switch desktops like I do on my Windows laptop on my Mac. I'm referring to the gesture function where you can supposedly hold the thumb button and then swipe the whole mouse to left or right to change desktops. I've resorted to setting the thumb scroll wheel to move desktops for my Mac.- Thumb wheel is a bit small. A little annoying but they apparently have already fixed this on the MX3 where they moved it to a slightly easier position to use.Overall for about 60 dollars this is great great buy. Highly recommend!

Having an MIT degree doesn't mean you know what you are talking about
I saw some one star review from someone who claims they are from "MIT" saying how horrible this mouse is. Let me set the records straight. This mouse is AWESOME. I am a Network Engineer and I do IT for a living. Let me tell you this mouse has some very handy features that make task switching much easier for someone who needs to go from one task to another OR one desktop to another. I love the gesture button so much because it give this mouse an extra layer of functionality that you would not get with any other mouse. The best part is that this mouse is completely customizable. If you don't like the features out of the box then download the software and change it to your liking. Also the battery life is REDICULOUSLY good on this mouse. If someone is complaining about the "battery life" then I have no clue what they are talking about. I use this mouse a lot and it's been two weeks owning this mouse I have not charged it up and the battery is STILL above 50%. All I am saying is that as much as I can say I am a Network Engineer which is true some Joe Blow can come in her and claim they are MIT and talk all this trash about this mouse. It really isn't that bad unless you are trying to find things that are bad. And even then at the end of the day those are still OPINIONS. But let's say we are going with opinions at the very least I've given you a very detailed reason why this mouse is worth your money.
