Don’t let the size fool you, the sound is big
This is just what I was looking for. It’s the perfect size, it’s LED light is bright, but the alarm is nice and LOUD. I first was looking for an alarm for my niece, a college student. I wanted it to be discreet, easy access and easy to use. It’s a proven fact that if you are ever in danger and you feel threatened, loud noise to draw attention to you and your assailant can actually be a game changer in the outcome. Most assailants will run away because it draws attention to the act and people can witness it and they can get caught. Also you can pull the strap as soon as you feel a threat or uncomfortable before someone gets too close to you to hurt you. I hope she never needs to use it as a form of protection, but she has it if she does. This pack had enough that I could give one to my stepdaughter who is a nursing student and goes in and out of clinicals and soon be a nurse that may be working crazy hours. My niece with a 2 year old, if at the park or grocery store, mall or getting gas, someone were to approach her, she can pull the strap and get assistance she needs to protect her and baby. My sister who just moved to a new neighborhood, I know she’s tough but I love her so much and I don’t want anything to happen to her, walks her dog. Bring in a new environment and learning the area, she can use this another way also. If she got misplaced (lost) and wasn’t sure which way to get back where she was headed, pull the strap, draws attention to her and someone hears and realize that something is wrong, help is on the way. These are my opinions only on the device and you may or may not agree with me. But to me, it’s well worth the investment.

Great Little Device
I bought these with my mother in mind. I gave one to my husband and daughter. I also gave one to my 85 year old mother. Their compact. You can hang it on your purse or belt strap on your pants. Keep one in your car. Their so easy to use. Just pull on the strap to activate the alarm. To stop it just put the pin back in. The piercing sound is deafening. My husband jumped and he knew it was coming. lol This is especially great for the elderly. My mother has osteoporosis, diabetes, diabetic retinopathy and a host of other things that diabetes causes. She's never home. She has so much trouble walking because of the diabetic nerve pain in her legs, but she does not let that stop her. Her traveling on the bus alone, especially when you meet people who like to push little old men off buses, is scary for me to think that could have been her. My mother can't see very well and it was nightime. She thought she was on the driveway and didn't lift her foot high enough and fell onto the sidewalk landing on her arm/shoulder. She broke both and her collar bone that day. She laid there for 20 minutes stunned and in severe pain before someone driving by saw her and got out to help her. She forgot to take her cell phone that day too. So owning one of these isn't just about saving you from a robber, it can save your life. Maybe if a robber sees it hanging on your pants or purse he'll know to leave you alone. These little alarms are a must have no matter what your situation. I recommend these.

Good product overall.. strap is too small
I just got these and instantly wanted to test it out.. I like the flash light, and the noise is holy cow loud which is amazing for what the purpose of this is. The one downside, the “wrist strap” is not designed for an adult wrist. So you have the option of looping through your pants belt loop or putting it on a key chain. I wish the strap was a tad bigger and that you could cinch down on it to fit any size wrist. Hopefully my kids and I won’t have to use it ever but at least knowing that we have another layer of protection when we are out is nice. It will definitely be loud enough to alert other people around you to what is happening or hopefully deter an attacker from following through.

Makes me feel so safe!!!
I have my own pet sitting business, so I am alone walking to and from homes and entering homes in the dark, not to mention walking dogs in the dark. Having this personal alarm with me at all times makes me feel soooo much safer. I have purchased this product before, but this time I bought the 5-pack and gave one to my sister and one to another Pet Sitter friend of mine. I'd recommend buying the flatter option vs. the round one that's almost like an egg. The flatter design makes it more comfortable in your pocket. I keep one at my front door, one in my car and one on my keychain. The best part of this product (which can be a negative at times) is the item you pull to engage the alarm. This hangs longer than most items on your key ring, pretty much regardless of the number of keys on your keyring. I love this fact b/c it makes it so easy to grab (when needed). I feel positive that if I needed it, I would not need to even look at it to use it, unlike most pepper sprays. The negative of it, is the same as above, because I often times will get a finger between the material that you pull to engage the alarm. I thought about cutting it in half (as it's like a wrist band) and then I'd have 2 strings hanging down (and could pull one or the other), but I don't think it would be as easy, plus each string wouldn't be as heavy to hang down as straight or potentially as long.
