These are very attractive little devices that do their job well. They are a little awkward to open and close at first but you get used to the specific actions necessary and it’s easy to do. I like that these actually will provide some reinforcement to the door, in addition to keeping my toddler safe. I’m sure this door is far more difficult to kick-in with the additional support that this provides in a key location. It’s nice and snug to the door so it feels very strong. I had to chisel out my door frame slightly to get them where I wanted them without catching on the door slightly. The chiseling was honestly a little awkward, required an additional tool and I wasn’t great at it. Having said that, it’s a reasonable thing to have to undertake to get this level of style and security installed in a door gap that is just too narrow to accommodate it unmodified. The finished result still looks great and performs beautifully.

These work as advertised. My two kids are not able to get out of the house and that gives me peace of mind. However when my neighbors comes over to watch the cat while we are away she struggles figuring out how to open these haha (they are not complicated).

These locks work very well. Easy to install and easy to use. Once locked in place they do not allow the door to be opened. Which is the goal. I take care of my elderly Mom who has dementia. I needed something in case she wanted to go outside without me knowing about it. There is NO WAY for her to get out when these are deployed. I just put them up higher where she can't reach. Also the motion for unlocking is easy for me but not for a 94 year old. I feel she is safer when I need to use the locks, especially at night. I recommend them for sure, for elderly care or even younger children's safety.

If you have kids you need these on all your outdoor doors. Such a layer of safety and protection. Easy to install. Works so easy. Very good quality. And you can barely tell if your door color is light, it kind of blends in. Very easy to open for adults too!

I bought two sets of these and they get used multiple times a day, all are still working, one has began to catch a little bit making unlocking somewhat difficult, however it still completes its function.Definitely adds a layer of safety to the home, and can be used to prop the door open a crack to let a breeze pass through the home.

I purchased these as a safety measure for my son that has a child with high functioning autism. In a nutshell these locks have been a godsend as our grandchild had a habit of unlocking The doors and going outside without notice the spur of the moment.Our grandson knew how to unlock the deadbolt and the door knob and that's when we knew we had to graduate to something more technical that he could not figure out.We installed the locks at the upper part of the front door and back door out of his reach. When installing make sure you are applying block to a stud or part of the solid frame of the door.

Great product that just helps you feel safe in your home. Love the way its easy to install. It just gives you peace of mind while your sleeping or just being safe. Highly recommended product.

This security lock is great, very well designed, great instructions, easy operation (once you figure out how it works it becomes intuitive).Some watch-outs: 1) make sure your door closes with this in place BEFORE fastening it to the frame. If it does not fit, you will have to cut (carefully) a slot to fit the device in the doorframe before screwing it in. Don’t forget to PAINT the area you carve out BEFORE screwing it in, since it is likely to be exposed to rain, water, etc (if installed on an outside door). 2) suggest to screw in first screw in middle of slot hole, since you can push/pull the device (after loosening this first screw) to fit your door when closed WATCh OUT if you try to close the door with any screw not properly seated and fully screwed in it WILL carve your door up.Would highly recommend, we use these on all our external doors instead of throw-bolts.
